Saku Sipi How many artists keep on making five-star rock albums at the age of 70? Right! Not many. But John does! What a phenomenal album this is. It’s so lovely folky and melodic in places and so hard rocking in the others. One of the best rock albums made in the 2010’s! Favorite track: Find A Way.

Paul Just bought the album and haven’t gotten to listen yet (that’s why I’m not listing a favorite track). I loved John’s first solo album ‘Shake’ back in college. Very happy to get something new from a trusted voice in Christian music!

rjw777 This album reminds me a lot of "Shake". Very solid throughout, and shows the growth of an Artist, who has long been very inspiring and real. Thank you, John Schlitt for continuing to fight the good fight, and spreading The Light. On a side note, Kevin Sorbo should play you in a movie about your life, with of course you providing the soundtrack. Favorite track: Find A Way.

Tom Hysong It’s awesome.
What a great album and nice surprise to come out right at Christmas!

capodo I've been a fan since John was with Petra. Back then, and now, he delivers songs that simply tell it like it is. There are times when people just need to hear the message outright. Favorite track: Where Would I Be.

Go is a declaration of movement. Sometimes movement is a forward motion – and sometimes movement takes a momentary pause as we wait for direction. In either case, “go” does not mean to sit still in our comfort zone and do nothing. We’re either going forward or idling in expectation of God’s direction. And when the time comes to go – then we GO!

Go 04:06
GO One step forward, two steps back Some days it’s just a matter of fact – oh yeah Sometimes hope feels a mile away No matter what you do, no matter what you say – oh yeah Then comes the question that I ask myself What is the path for me? (chorus 1) Go… No time to stop Just take your shot Keep movin’ on The path is harder when you’re on your own It’s so much better when you’re not alone – oh yeah So why accept it when the walls close in You can break away from the place you’ve been – oh yeah A three stranded cord is not easily broken Faith, my God and me (chorus 2) Go… (to the light that shines and leads you on) No time to stop (even when you think your strength is gone) Just take your shot (you will find a way to see beyond) Keep movin’ on (chorus 3) Yeah… Go (when they tell you, you can’t find your way) No time for fear (take courage in the face of what you say) The path is clear (it’s a road that’s hard but you’re going to stay) So carry on (bridge) The battles come and the battles go It can break you down or it can make you grow And each one tries to take a piece of your heart But you won’t give in, it won’t tear you apart Yeah… yeah Chorus 1 Chorus 3 Chorus 2
2.
Feel It 03:38
FEEL IT Sometimes I feel like I’m losing control Life can knock you down, it can rattle your soul (I’m so) uptight, down right, feels like I can’t take any more Here it comes again and I’m right in the way Ain’t layin’ down, I got something to say Gotta hold fast, out last, take back, all that Everything is takin’ from me (chorus intro) All ya gotta do when ya feel this way Is have a little faith (chorus) Can you feel it – feel it Won’t be long ‘till you believe it Let it take you away To a place that you’ve never been So believe it Believe it It’s not so hard to see it Standing right before you Give me all ya got, I ain’t going nowhere I found a better place and I’m already there (Don’t you know I found) one way, no doubt, no fear Turns out The sun is shining down on me (chorus intro) (chorus) (bridge) Can you feel it… feel it… feel it… feel it every night and day… (chorus x 2)
3.
TAKIN' IT HIGHER Way down, there you go When you’re livin’ with the good enough Step back, take a look Is it everything you’re dreaming of? Right now, time is right Gonna find a better circumstance Step up, roll the dice Ain’t it better when you take a chance And when the moment comes, don’t let ‘em take it away Hold on with all you’ve got Press on and never stop You’re gonna find your way (chorus) Takin’ it higher No matter what they say Takin’ it higher Every day Whoa, oh, here ya go You gotta whole lotta going on Hey hey, found a way Lookin’ up and movin’ on No doubt, break out You gotta go where you never been Fall down, get on up Just do it all over again And when the moment comes, don’t let ‘em take it away Hold on with what you’ve got Press on and never stop You’re gonna find your way (chorus) Takin’ it higher No matter what they say Takin’ it higher Every day (bridge x 2) Let the moment take you away Where truth is all that remains Hide it deep inside your soul Don’t let go (repeat chorus x 2)
4.
FIGHTING THE FIGHT I’m not perfect And I go through hurt and pain along the way But You give my strength So I’ll be strong So I can do all things to live this life of love The vision of Your heart is clear You hold me close to You And You settle all my fears (chorus) Looking forward I will run the race Heading to the finish line Where I see You face to face With angels shouting cheers I’ll run to the light With all I got, I’ll never stop I’ll never give in I’ll keep fighting the fight God, you know me from the inside out You know the dreams I dream And You know the doubts and doubt So I pray that You give me eyes to see A future that’s so bright With the plans You have for me The purpose of Your love is clear You hold me close to You And You wipe away my tears (chorus x 2)
5.
Just Let Go 03:23
JUST LET GO You seem so happy there; I hesitate to say You think you’re strong but your strength is what gets in your way Sometimes it’s harder to let go than hold on tight Loosen your grip, a change of heart will do you right (chorus) Where do we go from here? The answer is not so clear Where do we go from Just let … just let go The life that you want isn’t always the one you have Why let the fear make it too hard to take a chance? Will you let go of what is – for what might be? Grab hold of something new and be set free! (chorus) Where do we go from here? x3 (Say your hellos, say your good-byes¬) (bridge) Say your hellos, say your good-byes Everyone lives, everyone dies It’s not your life ‘till you can just let go! (chorus) Where do we go at the end of the day? Where are the answers that went far away? When you’re in doubt just remember to Just let, just let, just let go (Just let go… go… x2) Go
6.
TIME KEEPS ROLLIN’ Days of summer stretch like they go forever Thinking every hour that passes is better Endless ways of wasted days in no hurry Bless you child; you ain’t got any worries In the moment stars reached out and you grabbed them Details missed in the thick of it, Where you been boy? You’ll find when you’re there at last - it’s a bad show Pin me down and I’ll tell you just what you don’t know Don’t you know (chorus 1) The clock keeps tickin’ as the days go by (Time keeps rollin’ …time moves on) The older you get, the faster it glides (Time keeps rollin’ …time moves on) (chorus 2) Press for the moment stolen away You can’t go back at the end of the day The here and now is your now here to stay (Time keeps rollin’ …time moves on) x 4 Life flows through this cynic’s veins And I wonder Why the foolish undertow took me under Planing wood against the grain is laborious And yet in life a choice exists for each one of us What’s your choice? (chorus 1 & 2) (bridge) In the face of a crowd, oh I loved it too much The punch of the drum was a punch in the gut When I measured a man by the depth of his love I found that one man stands above (chorus 1 & 2) (chorus 3) The fool and his folly, the clash of a clown Has cashed in his past for the sake of a crown To know where you’re goin’ is worth it all now (Time keeps rollin’ …time moves on) x 4
7.
WHERE WOULD I BE? Living the life, but I went too far Chasing a dream; livin’ like a rock star Told me “I made it” whispered in my ear One night like the next, year after year Dreams got shattered; feels like a trap Nothin’ satisfies; how can I go back? (chorus) Where would I be? Where would I be? If the Lord didn’t shine on me One lost soul on a stormy sea If the Lord didn’t shine on me Startin’ at the bottom It’s the end of the show Six feet under seems the way to go Then I found an answer in the strangest place Nothin’ like forgiveness in His warm embrace What seems impossible – so far away It’s now the victory – It’s easy to say (chorus) (bridge) Shine on me (Shine, shine, shine, shine Your lovin’ light on me) x4 Light on me Year after year walkin’ a rocky line Really doesn’t matter how hard I tried Even though I stumble almost every day I know forgiveness is one step away Time keeps passin’ and it’s easy to see Amazing grace is setting me free (chorus) x 2 One lost soul on a stormy sea If the Lord didn’t shine on me

Find A Way 05:05
FIND A WAY Where are you goin’? Take me with you, there to the other side I wanna stay there with you always Let’s find a way All aboard, we’ll ride together and We will make our great escape Like a dream of love in Camelot I’ll remember you this way (chorus) Find a way Let’s find a way on outta here Now is the day We’ll find the road on outta here How long have you been right there waiting For me to realize? How many tears have you been wasting I was so blinded Yesterday, I would not listen to All the words my Father said Now today, I finally see the truth Standing here in front of me (chorus) (bridge) It took me so long, ooooh, just to find you Don’t wanna waste more time So let’s take the road that leads to heaven And walk in the warm sunshine (chorus) All aboard, we’ll ride together and We will make our great escape Like a dream of love in Camelot I’ll remember you this way (chorus) Ain’t nobody gonna hold us back or hold us down For what we know Ain’t nobody gonna show us outta here
9.
Fake News 04:08
FAKE NEWS What’s goin’ on? Every day is one more headline Telling tales to reach the goal Talking heads giving their opinions What a show! Constant push of exaggeration More schemes, there’s nothin’ new Not news, it;s strangulation Break this noose! Where is the truth? Where has it gone? Where is the trust? What’s goin’ on? (chorus) Phony experts sharing fake news Holding us hostage to the fake news I need a break from all this Fake, fake, fake, fake news Fake news Our faith; a sacred treasure A strength we must defend Opposing all who dare to Steal it away Deception, a liar’s tomb I see your plans Don’t play the fool (chorus 2) Phony experts share in fake news Holding us hostage to the fake news God help me with this Fake, fake, fake, fake news (bridge) You’re playing Russian roulette A game that many regret Yeah, the gun is loaded See what you get Where is the truth? Where has it gone? Where is the trust? What’s goin’ on? (chorus 1) (chorus 2)
10.
Let's Go 03:46
LET’S GO Whoa… whoa Are you fighting for truth or illusion? Is it gonna stand or come crashing down? Well, I’m starting to make a conclusion That the time to act is right now Ready or not I don’t know Somebody’s gotta go (chorus) It doesn’t matter what you say I am a fighter on my way There is no time to hesitate Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go! Whoa… whoa All these pandering pirates among us All the actors in parliament pose Well, they show up in force to surround us But the play ain’t nothin’ but show It’s never really enough I’m here to call your bluff (chorus) (bridge x 2) Rising up, rising up, let’s go, let’s go Rising up, rising up, let’s go Rap Verse - Repeat Vs 1 Ready or not – I don’t know Somebody’s got to go (chorus) It doesn’t matter what you say you got it so wrong I am a fighter on my way; I’m livin’ so long There is no time to hesitate so let me move on Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go
11.
Not Dead Yet 03:56
NOT DEAD YET When you see me, you can say what you want Hard of hearing, you think that I’m outta touch You may think that I’m washed up but I’m still in the game Plus I don’t have time for this – and I don’t care what you say I’m not dead yet Not dead yet You say age is something to be running from But I say it takes a lot of years to be young The longer that I live, the more amazing life becomes Faith – Hope – Charity – I’m a witness to what it does ‘Cause I’m not dead yet Not dead yet (bridge) Age is not a number or some sentimentality It’s the measure of becoming who you were meant to be Call me a Methuselah – if that’s all you can see But I’m just getting started – call it destiny As I look at you, I wonder just what I’ll find Do you have a plan – or do you just criticize? The hands of time will never stop, no matter what you do Live each moment like it was meant for you! You’re not dead yet Not dead No you’re not dead yet Not dead Not dead yet, not dead yet, not dead yet, not dead yet I’m just getting started (ad lib…)
